VISIOON has developed Pictum, a fun tool that allows aquarium visitors to locate, identify and learn about marine life in real time while providing to curators unique fish monitoring data.
AN INNOVATIVE TOOL FOR MARINE WILDLIFE LOVERS
In all aquariums, visitors have visual illustrations and descriptions of the main species present in the different tanks. These illustrations, called “cartels” are fixed near the tanks. Visitors use them to get information and have fun finding the corresponding species in situ. In practice, visitors often find it difficult to make the connection between these images and the moving fish present in the tanks. Our product makes it possible to digitize and modernize these signs, offering a new, fun activity to visitors while increasing their knowledge of marine biodiversity.

Our app provides real-time information about the fish species that aquarium visitors see. Thanks to this functionality analyzing continuous images, the platform also provides aquariums with daily statistical data on the number of fish of each species recognized by Pictum daily.
